Responsibilities
Application Architecture & Design: Define the overall structure, logical components, software layering, and system interfaces for multi-tier enterprise applications.
Cloud Architecture & Security: Architect and optimize cloud infrastructure solutions on Microsoft Azure, defining security policies, network configurations, identity controls, data services, and system monitoring.
Enterprise Integration & API Strategy: Design and manage microservices architectures, ESB frameworks, RESTful APIs, and middleware connections between application packages and databases.
Cross-Platform System Management: Oversee cross-platform application execution across large distributed environments, establishing source code requirements and performance metrics.
Process & Governance Alignment: Align architectural deliverables with formal ITIL processes, specifically incident, change, release management, and PMO stage-gate frameworks.
Technical Modeling & Documentation: Develop comprehensive architectural deliverables, logical and physical models, and technical requirements documentation.
Stakeholder & Technical Leadership: Mentor engineering teams, collaborate with cross-functional technical leads, and present architectural solutions to business leadership.
Qualifications
IT Architecture Seniority: 10+ years of progressive, hands-on experience in IT architecture, system design, and complex enterprise integrations (Strictly Required).
Microsoft Azure Mastery: Deep technical expertise in Azure architecture, including cloud security, networking, identity management, data services, and monitoring (Strictly Required).
Enterprise Integration: Proven expertise in API development, enterprise service bus (ESB), microservices architecture, and middleware technologies (Strictly Required).
IT Governance & ITSM Frameworks: Strong familiarity with ITIL processes (incident, change, and release management) and formal PMO stage-gate governance protocols (Strictly Required).
Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology; advanced certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF) are strongly preferred.
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Prior experience delivering IT architecture within public sector environments.
