Responsibilities
Scrum Master Responsibilities:
•Initiate the project by helping define the vision, identifying stakeholders, and aligning goals with the project team.
•Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to create and maintain the product backlog, ensuring work items are clearly defined and prioritized.
•Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
•Plan and estimate user stories, tasks, and sprint backlogs with the project team.
•Provide regular status updates to project leadership and the Steering Committee.
•Guide the team in adopting and following Agile best practices to improve delivery efficiency.
•Support the rollout of the new scanning and document management solution into production, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Business Analyst Responsibilities:
•Work with stakeholders, external vendors, and multiple government departments to gather, analyze, and document requirements.
•Lead facilitated workshops and sessions to validate requirements, document processes, and reach consensus on the solution approach.
•Analyze current scanning and document management options, including internal and external solutions, to recommend the best fit.
•Identify risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact the implementation, and propose mitigation strategies.
•Develop a working knowledge of the existing Housing Management Solution (COTS product) to ensure proper integration.
•Collaborate with the Records Management team to align the solution with existing records retention and compliance requirements.
•Work with QA teams to define test cases and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
•Partner with the Change Manager/Trainer to create user guides, SOPs, and training materials for the new solution.
•Support deployment activities, ensuring that the solution is fully integrated, tested, and ready for production.
•Create and maintain project documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and operating procedures.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
•Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
•Business Analysis certification (IIBA CBAP/CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent) is an asset.
•8+ years of Business Analysis experience, including requirements gathering, process documentation, and solution evaluation.
•5+ years of Scrum Master experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing product backlogs, and driving sprint execution.
•Proven experience in large-scale system integration and decommissioning projects, ideally in government or public sector environments.
•Hands-on experience working with COTS solutions and integrating third-party systems.
•Experience with document management or scanning solutions is a strong asset.
•Background in working with cross-functional teams including QA, Records Management, Change Management, and external vendors.
