Responsibilities
The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for:
- Leading and facilitating workshops and meetings to gather and document significant business requirements for complex digital solutions.
- Managing the product backlog, prioritizing features, contributing to product vision, and deciding when to ship software to gather feedback.
- Working within a hybrid agile environment (Scrum/Waterfall combination), providing leadership, and collaborating with developers, UX designers, and solution delivery vendors.
- Ensuring solutions adhere to current web usability and WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA accessibility standards. Leading the team in defining and testing usability requirements and metrics.
- Guiding the team in designing digital solutions, including content design, flow, wireframes, prototypes, and functional specifications, using evidence-based, user-centric approaches (user analytics, testing).
- Conducting consultations to determine and assess business needs, identify emerging trends, and prioritize feature requests to ensure solutions meet user needs.
- Creating artifacts like user epics, stories, themes, functional/non-functional requirements, data models, and preparing status reports and slide decks to present options and recommendations to senior management.
- Identifying solution design limitations, troubleshooting user experience issues (e.g., responsiveness), and advising on strategic design and user-experience decisions.
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience:
- Significant experience gathering Business Requirements for IT Systems and complex digital solutions.
- Extensive knowledge and experience working in an Agile and Scrum Methodology environment.
- Demonstrated experience in a Product Team environment, working with a balanced team (Product Owner, UX, Developers).
- Strong ability to facilitate workshops and meetings clearly and effectively to gather business requirements from stakeholders.
- Significant experience designing online user experiences for complex digital solutions.
- Knowledge and experience in current web usability and accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 Level A & AA) and best practices.
- Proficiency with Backlog Management tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.
Desired Skills (Assets):
- Scrum Master experience.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
- Knowledge of online collaboration tools such as MIRO and Atlassian Confluence.
- Familiarity with industry standard design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq, InVision).
