Responsibilities
Requirements Management: Lead and conduct business analysis to assess client opportunities; document business, functional, and non-functional requirements to determine appropriate I&IT solutions.
Technical Modeling: Create UML artifacts, including use cases, activity/sequence/state diagrams, and process flows. Perform conceptual and logical data modeling and process flow modeling.
Data Integration: Translate business and data requirements into technical specifications for ETL processes, enabling efficient data sharing and ingestion.
Agile Facilitation: Manage the product backlog, facilitate grooming sessions, develop Epics and User Stories, and assist with prioritization.
Strategic Support: Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies; apply re-engineering concepts to promote alternative service delivery approaches.
Lifecycle Governance: Align all business analysis activities with standard systems development methodologies and Enterprise Architecture gating processes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Lead JAD sessions, interviews, and workshops with SMEs and executives to ensure project vision alignment.
Qualifications
Core Experience: 8+ years of business analysis experience, specifically within complex I&IT environments.
Modeling Expertise: Expert-level skill in UML (Use Cases, Sequence/State Diagrams) and CASE tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio).
Agile Proficiency: Hands-on experience with JIRA, product backlog grooming, and user story development.
Data Technicality: Ability to develop ETL requirement specifications and experience executing RDBMS SQL queries.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills for preparing briefing notes, presentations, and stakeholder engagement materials.
Technical Toolkit: Proficient in Figma, Microsoft Powerpoint, and collaborative platforms like Microsoft Teams.
Compliance: Strong understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and Information Management principles.
