Responsibilities
Procurement & Strategy
RFB Development: Lead the review and continued development of initial RFB draft packages, incorporating multidisciplinary team feedback in a timely manner.
Strategic Drafting: Coach and facilitate the development of scope statements and business requirements to ensure procurement opportunities are clearly identified with certain timing and objectives.
Fairness & Compliance: Ensure all deliverables align with the Independent Fairness Commissioner’s guidance to maintain a transparent, fair, and open procurement process.
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential obstacles to vendor participation and provide recommendations to mitigate risks throughout the evaluation and contract award phases.
Contract Support: Assist in contract award activities, including the preparation of the Form of Agreement (FOA) and providing expert advice on the Statement of Work (SOW).
Content Design & User Experience
User-Centered Content: Research, plan, and write web content for Ontario.ca, ensuring it is easy to understand, inclusive, and follows plain-language standards.
Service Design Cycle: Document strategy throughout the design cycle to produce digital content that helps users find information efficiently.
Standard Adherence: Follow the Digital Service Standard and the Simpler, Faster, Better Services Act to deliver high-quality online experiences.
Analytics & Iteration: Analyze user research findings and analytics to continuously improve digital services and content effectiveness.
Qualifications
Advanced Writing: 8+ years of experience in clear, concise drafting—specifically simplifying complex technical or legal information into plain language.
Procurement Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Public Sector procurement processes (OPS) and a strong understanding of contract law terms and conditions.
Digital Standards: Proven experience with AODA/WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards and the Ontario Digital Service Standard.
Agile Collaboration: Proficiency in working within multidisciplinary teams using tools like Miro, Figma, Mural, or Jamboard.
Technical BA Skills: Experience with journey mapping, user stories, information architecture, wireframing, and persona development.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple sensitive projects simultaneously with impeccable attention to detail and political acuity.
