Responsibilities
Requirements Elicitation & Analysis: Lead requirement-gathering activities—including JAD sessions, interviews, and workshops with subject matter experts—to document business requirements, user stories, business rules, and non-functional specifications.
Business & Data Modeling: Conduct detailed business process modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, and process flow mapping to guide technology solution design.
Documentation & Artifact Creation: Develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), project charters, briefing notes, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses.
Project Management Alignment: Apply project management concepts (scope, risk, timelines, and quality management) to manage change requests, develop detailed work streams, and maintain requirements traceability matrices.
Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate cross-functional meetings, keep project discussions on track, and present strategic recommendations to business leads, technical teams, and executive stakeholders.
QA & Interoperability Collaboration: Partner closely with Quality Assurance (QA) and technical teams to align testing strategies, validate requirements, and ensure compliance with application security, privacy, and accessibility standards.
Knowledge Transfer & Process Improvement: Re-engineer business processes to improve cost-effectiveness, document current and future states, and deliver structured knowledge transfer to project teams.
Qualifications
eHealth Business Analysis Seniority: Minimum 8 years of business analysis experience working on electronic health-related projects (Strictly Required).
Public Sector & Healthcare Context: Proven experience working in the public sector, preferably within a healthcare setting (Strictly Required).
Modeling & Requirements Mastery: Demonstrated experience conducting business modeling, use case surveys, conceptual/logical data modeling, process/data flow modeling, and business rules definition (Strictly Required).
Project Management Concepts: Practical knowledge of project management principles, including scope, risk, planning, and quality management (Strictly Required).
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of facilitating multi-stakeholder meetings.
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Familiarity with Quality Assurance (QA) testing approaches and strategies.
Knowledge of application security, privacy standards, information management principles, and AODA compliance guidelines.
