As a principal business analyst, you will bridge the gap between business stakeholders, technical teams, and solution leads. Operating fully onsite in Toronto, you will lead full SDLC activities—facilitating interactive Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, authoring detailed user stories and business cases, constructing data/process models, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT). This position is tailored for a seasoned analysis authority with a strong technical background in Azure cloud technologies, web interfaces (Figma, HTML, CSS), and enterprise project delivery methodologies who can optimize business workflows and ensure project success.

Create detailed business analysis documentation, business cases, cost-benefit analyses, feasibility studies, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Conduct business process mapping, use case modeling, conceptual/logical data modeling, and process flow diagramming.
Translate business and data requirements into clear technical specifications for cloud-native solutions, web applications, and digital forms.
Develop mockups and wireframes using Figma, incorporating front-end web considerations (HTML, CSS) to support user-centric design needs.
Establish requirements traceability matrices, define performance metrics, and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) execution.
Apply business process re-engineering principles to identify cost-effective service delivery approaches and workflow improvements.
Collaborate with project managers to support budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and status reporting.
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, gating processes, and digital accessibility regulations (including AODA standards).
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Technical BA Experience
Business Analysis Tenure: 8+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst in large IT organizations, leading requirements gathering and solution design.
JAD Facilitation: Demonstrated hands-on experience planning, leading, and facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
Cloud & Web Design Technologies: Practical experience working with Azure cloud technologies, Figma wireframing/prototyping, HTML, and CSS.
Core Documentation: Proven track record creating business analysis artifacts, business cases, detailed requirements documents, user stories, and test scenarios.
Methodology Mastery: Hands-on experience across multiple delivery models, including Agile, Waterfall, Iterative Agile, and Product Management SDLC frameworks.
UAT Support: Demonstrated experience planning, defining, and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
Preferred Experience & Assets
User-Centric Design: Experience with user-centric website and digital forms design.
