Responsibilities
âą Lead the development of Business and Information Architectures for key geospatial projects
âą Support enterprise architecture gating processes, focusing on AGP 0 to 3 deliverables
âą Facilitate alignment between business processes and data models
âą Engage and consult with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver architecture strategies
âą Create Conceptual and Logical Data Models aligned with enterprise standards
âą Contribute to modernization efforts in GIS delivery, maintenance, and portal deployments
âą Work on legacy transformation initiatives by recommending scalable architecture designs
âą Ensure compliance with architecture frameworks, governance, and information management policies
âą Prepare documentation such as Business Architecture Document (BAD) and Information Architecture Document (IAD)
âą Participate in technical evaluations and support procurement-related architecture documentation
Qualifications
âą 10+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years in Business Architecture roles
âą Proven track record in creating business and information architectures for large enterprises
âą Experience with architecture gating processes (AGP 1 and 2)
âą Hands-on with business process modeling, BPMN, and conceptual/logical data modeling
âą Familiarity with data governance, information management, and digital transformation standards
âą Skilled in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration
âą Ability to lead and guide project teams, analysts, and fellow architects in alignment processes
âą Understanding of architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, and use of documentation standards
âą Experience integrating business architecture into solution requirements and technical documentation
Nice to Have:
đ§± Knowledge of Zachman Framework
đ§ Experience in other architecture domains (e.g., Application Architecture)
đïž Familiarity with Privacy, Records Management, and Accessibility (AODA) compliance
