Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Develop Information, Business, and System Architecture documents ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory expectations.
- Gating & Governance: Lead the project through CARB checkpoints and AGP 2 milestones; author governance deliverables and secure necessary approvals.
- Solution Modeling: Design Value Chains, Value Stream Mapping, and BPMN 2.0 collaboration diagrams to visualize complex business processes.
- Requirement Engineering: Produce functional and non-functional requirements, data models, data dictionaries, and system use cases to support integration planning.
- Feasibility & Risk: Perform impact and risk analysis (TRA, RMR), environmental scans, and feasibility assessments of solution options including cost and organizational readiness.
- SME Collaboration: Facilitate JAD sessions and bridge the gap between technical SMEs and healthcare professionals to review design gaps and triage defects.
- Implementation Support: Support UAT planning, test strategy development, and readiness assessments for final deployment.
Qualifications
- Business Architecture Mastery: 10+ years of experience in business architecture for large-scale implementations, including n-tier applications and case management solutions.
- EMR & Digital Health: Proven experience implementing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solutions and working on large-scale digital health projects.
- Public Sector Expertise: Demonstrated experience navigating the Ontario Public Sector (OPS) architecture gating process and enterprise standards.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience in healthcare, with a strong preference for correctional healthcare settings or knowledge of Corrections business rules.
- Modeling Proficiency: Expertise in using modeling software such as PowerDesigner or Enterprise Architect for information and business canvas modeling.
- Agile & Lean: Experience working with Agile frameworks (burndown, estimation) and knowledge of Change Management (ADKAR); Lean Six Sigma is a strong asset.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to brief ministry management and officials on complex architectural risks and strategies.
