Responsibilities
Business Architecture & Capability Modeling: Design capability models, map functional capabilities to enterprise resources, perform value chain analyses, and model business functions, accountabilities, and processes using BPMN standards.
Enterprise Governance & Alignment: Lead project teams through formal architecture governance processes, developing and maintaining architectural controls, governance blueprints, and checkpoint artifacts.
Document & Artifact Development: Author comprehensive Business Architecture Documentation (BAD) and ensure vertical alignment with Solution Requirements Documents (SRD) and Information Architecture Documents (IAD).
Business Transformation & Strategy: Collaborate with executive leads and senior managers to translate strategic corporate objectives into tactical business transformation blueprints, target business outcomes, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Stakeholder Consultation & Workshops: Facilitate focus groups, co-design workshops, and alignment sessions with business leads, subject matter experts, and cross-functional technical teams.
Integration & Service Design: Align business architecture frameworks with service design practices, identifying common integration elements and delineation points across project portfolios.
Requirements Elicitation Support: Ensure business architecture models directly inform, validate, and support the elicitation of functional, technical, and operational system requirements.
Procurement & Governance Support: Provide expert guidance and architectural review support for procurement activities, service acquisitions, and vendor solution evaluations.
Qualifications
Enterprise Architecture Experience: 10+ years of total IT experience with at least 5 years dedicated to delivering Business Architecture for large, complex enterprise initiatives (Strictly Required).
Formal Methodology Expertise: Proven experience developing business architectures using formal government or enterprise framework standards (such as GO-ITS) (Strictly Required).
Business Architecture Documentation (BAD): Extensive experience authoring formal Business Architecture Documentation and ensuring vertical integration with Solution Requirements (SRD) and Information Architecture (IAD) (Strictly Required).
Process & Capability Modeling: Demonstrated mastery in business capability mapping, business function modeling, value chain analysis, and BPMN process modeling (Strictly Required).
Stakeholder Facilitation & Governance: Proven track record facilitating workshops, collaborating with executive management, and guiding projects through formal architecture governance review boards (Strictly Required).
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Knowledge of the Zachman Framework, SAFe Methodology, or Enterprise Architecture modeling tools (e.g., PowerDesigner, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Orbus).
Experience in adjacent architectural domains such as Information Architecture, Data Architecture, or Application Architecture.
Familiarity with Digital Service Standards, Service Design practices, and web accessibility standards (AODA/WCAG).
