Responsibilities
- Architectural Design: Analyze business requirements to design an efficient data warehouse/lakehouse and "golden layer" architecture on Microsoft Azure.
- ETL & Integration: Develop and automate ETL processes to move data from Dynamics 365 (CE and F&O) into bronze, silver, and golden layers of the lakehouse.
- Data Modeling: Create logical and physical data models (Star and Snowflake schemas) that align with analytical needs using tools like ERWIN.
- Advanced Visualization: Develop interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, utilizing DAX, Power Query, and best practices in data storytelling.
- Optimization: Fine-tune the data warehouse and reporting processes to maximize query performance and overall system efficiency.
- Governance & Security: Implement strict security controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with technical standards.
- Collaboration: Provide ongoing knowledge transfer to internal staff and document all tasks and processes within Azure DevOps Wiki.
Qualifications
- Core BI Skills: Advanced proficiency in Power BI (including DAX and Power Query) and extensive experience with SSIS and SSRS.
- Data Warehousing: Strong expertise in Data Warehouse/Lakehouse principles, including data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data governance.
- Azure Ecosystem: Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Data Lake Storage, and Synapse Studio.
- Database Expertise: High-level SQL skills (T-SQL/PL-SQL) for complex querying, performance tuning, and troubleshooting across SQL Server and Oracle environments.
- Dynamics 365 Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Dynamics 365 data model, entities, and integration technologies like DataVerse (CDS).
- Certifications (Nice to Have): Azure Fundamentals or Azure Power BI Data Analyst Associate certifications are highly preferred.
- Platform Experience: Familiarity with the PowerApps platform, Power Automate, and Azure DevOps for version control.
