Our client is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Specialist for a 12 month contract in Toronto.

Rate: 560.07-595.56

Responsibilities
• Lead the report conversion activities from BOEXI to Power BI reports estimated up to 900 for 2025-26 fiscal year
• Supports Client’s wide-ranging business information requirements, implementing and supporting business intelligence software solutions
• Develops and supports customized query applications which analyze key business data
• Develops and supports guided analysis and drill-down functionality, routine scheduling and notification of report generation, and effective implementation of “opportunity” and “key-trend” alerts
• Provides Clients with approach options and tools for managing business-related data in a manner that assists in quantitative analysis of progress and the relationship between operational actions and their effect on business objectives
• Conduct workshops and requirements-gathering sessions with clients on BI & Data Analytics Initiative
• Conduct data integration, data cleansing, data modeling and analytics
• Develop feedback processes to fix corrupt data in the source systems
Qualifications
MUST HAVES:
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge in BI tools (e.g., Power BI and SAP BO’s Crystal Reports), data modeling, ETL processes, data visualization, and reporting
• Expert‑level SQL skills, including performance tuning and execution plan analysis
• Experience with cloud platforms: Microsoft Fabric & Azure, Databricks, AWS
• Experience diagnosing cross‑system performance issues
• Provides clients with approach options and tools for managing business‑related data for quantitative analysis and operational impact
• Effectively communicates complex technical concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences
• Looking for someone who is independent and proactive who can be an asset to the team
