Responsibilities
- Design and implement BI solutions using OBIEE and OAC, including the development of dashboards, alerts, and drill-down analytics.
- Develop and maintain OBIEE RPD semantic models that accurately reflect dimensional warehouse structures, including facts, dimensions, and hierarchies.
- Lead the design and delivery of BI Publisher reports using various templates (RTF, Excel, PDF), managing complex scheduling and bursting requirements.
- Create customized SQL solutions to analyze operational data and optimize query performance for reporting workloads.
- Partner with ETL and database teams to monitor data lineage, troubleshoot refresh schedules, and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve incidents related to data discrepancies, security/access (row-level/object-level), and report rendering failures.
- Manage report content through versioning, environment promotion, and archival procedures within a structured SDLC framework.
- Work within an Azure DevOps environment to refine user stories, track tasks, and maintain traceability from requirements to delivery.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience designing and supporting BI Publisher reports, including scheduling, bursting, and multiple template types.
- Proven hands-on experience with OBIEE and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
- Strong expertise in star/snowflake schemas, conformed dimensions, and aggregate strategies applied to semantic layer design.
- Robust skills in SQL (SQL Server preferred) for metric reconciliation and performance tuning.
- Solid understanding of ETL architecture, including incremental vs. full loads, dependency logic, and error handling.
- Expert analytical skills to diagnose end-to-end reporting issues across data, models, and security.
- Experience in a structured delivery model using Azure DevOps for sprint execution and documentation.
