Responsibilities
Design, build, code, and maintain scalable cloud-based data models, interactive Power BI dashboards, and clinical reporting products.
Write technical scripts and build automated data pipelines using SQL, Python, and Azure cloud technologies.
Query, transform, and analyze large administrative health databases, including linking disparate datasets and building analytic cohorts.
Conduct root-cause analysis on complex technical issues, evaluate alternate pipeline architectures, and recommend optimal data engineering solutions.
Collaborate with project team members, technical staff, and clinical partners to support the adoption and effective use of cloud analytics tools.
Develop data validation routines, conduct quality control checks, and deliver technical documentation, guidelines, and code repositories.
Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and document end-to-end data architectures for ongoing system sustainability.
Qualifications
Health Data & Public Sector Domain: Demonstrated background working with health data and proven experience within a public sector or government context (Strictly Required).
Core Technology Stack: Advanced proficiency and hands-on delivery experience with SQL, Python, Azure, and Power BI (Strictly Required).
Health System Databases & Data Linkage: Extensive experience querying and linking large administrative health databases to build complex analytic cohorts (Strictly Required).
Data Pipeline & Analytics Product Engineering: Proven track record developing and maintaining automated data pipelines, data models, and clinical reporting products (Strictly Required).
Technical Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Strong written and verbal communication skills to author technical guidelines, system documentation, and lead knowledge transfer sessions (Strictly Required).
Nice-to-Have Assets:
Direct experience with mental health and addictions clinical data concepts.
Familiarity with healthcare privacy legislation (e.g., PHIPA) and data governance frameworks.
Experience working within Agile product-team delivery environments.
