As a Senior Data Scientist, you will bridge the gap between complex raw data sources, advanced AI/ML algorithms, and business decision-makers. Operating within a hybrid work model in Toronto, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design end-to-end data pipelines, execute feature engineering, transform massive datasets using Azure Databricks and Apache Spark, and deploy production-grade models using Azure Machine Learning and Azure OpenAI services. Responsibilities

Process, clean, and transform large-scale structured and unstructured datasets using Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and Python.
Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines integrated with Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Server, and data lake storage structures.
Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, statistical modeling, and model performance tuning.
Build, deploy, and monitor production AI/ML models using Azure Machine Learning (AML) services, Azure OpenAI, and cloud infrastructure.
Create interactive reports, visual data stories, and executive dashboards using Power BI to communicate actionable insights.
Ensure best practices in data governance, data virtualization, model drift monitoring, and scalable cloud architecture.
Author detailed technical designs, functional specifications, system runbooks, and presentation materials for project stakeholders.
Conduct unit testing and provide ongoing technical support through system integration, QA, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Technical Expertise
Data Science & ML Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, predictive modeling, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
Azure Cloud & Analytics Platform: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Azure SQL Server, Azure Synapse, and Azure Databricks.
Programming Proficiency: Minimum 5+ years of advanced programming experience in SQL and Python for data manipulation, querying, and script automation.
Big Data Frameworks: Expertise in Apache Spark, big data processing, data lake architectures, and data warehousing principles.
AI/ML Model Deployment: Proven track record building and deploying production AI/ML models using Azure Machine Learning (AML) services, Azure OpenAI, or related cloud platform tooling.
Data Visualization: Hands-on experience developing interactive reports, metrics, and dashboards using Power BI or comparable visualization tools.
Preferred Certifications & Standards
