Responsibilities
- Database Management: Oversee the architecture, installation, patching, and monitoring of Oracle 12c, 19c, and 21c+ environments.
- Complex Migrations: Lead upgrade initiatives (e.g., 12c to 19c) and manage Oracle 19c multitenant environments across on-premise Exadata and Cloud platforms.
- High Availability: Administer and configure Oracle RAC on Exadata/Solaris/Linux and manage Oracle GoldenGate for data integration and replication.
- Automation & Scripting: Utilize SQL, VBScript, Python, and PowerShell to develop automation reports and streamline database tasks.
- System Monitoring: Use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM 13.4) to create and customize performance reports and manage fault monitoring.
- ITSM & Governance: Manage incidents, problems, and changes using BMC Remedy (eSMT); maintain meticulous documentation of all configuration changes.
- Project Leadership: Identify IT options for clients, recommend hardware/software acquisitions, and provide technical guidance to less experienced team members
Qualifications
- Oracle Mastery: 10+ years of experience supporting Oracle DB, including Exadata, Oracle RAC, GoldenGate, and Oracle Analytics Server.
- Advanced Scripting: 10+ years of proficiency in SQL, VBScript, PowerShell, and Python for database automation and administration.
- Technical Troubleshooting: 10+ years of experience identifying and correcting database design flaws and resolving complex, broad-scope technical incidents.
- Infrastructure Knowledge: Deep understanding of Solaris, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Tools & Collaboration: 10+ years of experience collaborating with stakeholders using MS O365, SharePoint Online, and Teams; expert knowledge of OEM and Remedy.
- Education & Certifications: Demonstrated expertise in high-availability configurations and disaster recovery strategies.
