Responsibilities
- Orchestration & Integration: Design and manage Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines, including the configuration and troubleshooting of Self-hosted Integration Runtimes (IR).
- Workspace Administration: Lead Databricks administration, overseeing workspace configuration, cluster policies, and access control (Unity Catalog or legacy).
- CI/CD Leadership: Develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines for ADF, Databricks, and various analytics assets using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Technical Design: Create functional and technical specifications for system development, ensuring alignment with program business architecture and logical/physical architectures.
- Environment Monitoring: Monitor and assess application performance in the cloud to ensure high availability, cost-efficiency, and optimized cluster usage.
- Security & Integrity: Implement and test safeguards to maintain data integrity and protect cloud products against unauthorized access.
- Collaboration: Support the testing team during UAT, create business scenarios/use cases, and ensure all deliverables adhere to Ministry processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of the Azure Technical Stack, Linux environments, and Git integration (branching, merging, and automated deployments).
- ADF Expertise: Proven experience in ADF orchestration, pipeline development, monitoring, and Self-hosted IR management.
- Databricks Administration: Skilled in managing Databricks jobs, clusters, cost monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Analytical Skills: 30+ points of demonstrated ability to assess architecture strategies and support highly technical, complex cloud solutions.
- Documentation & Standards: Experience creating Enterprise Architecture artifacts, technical design books, and operations manuals.
- Communication: Strong negotiating and writing skills to articulate technical designs to both project teams and stakeholders.
- Public Sector Experience: (Preferred) 5+ years of experience within a large public sector environment.
