Responsibilities
• Define and drive enterprise architecture strategy across health information systems
• Establish and oversee IT governance models for a Shared Services Entity (SSE)
• Lead the alignment and rationalization of IT platforms across health agencies
• Deliver future-state architecture roadmaps and implementation plans
• Design architectures for major platforms including IAM, CRM, FHIR, and cloud infrastructure
• Provide strategic leadership on digital health initiatives and integration with Netcare, EMRs, Connect Care, and more
• Advise on architectural support for clinical operations, including command center implementation and patient continuity pathways
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
• 5 years Experience in documenting application architectures in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
• 5 years Experience in planning, designing, implementing and supporting platform solutions in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
• 5 years Experience leading complex (multi-stakeholder and multi-technology) projects.
• 5 years Experience working in IT within the Healthcare industry
• 2 years Experience providing strategic advice related to organizational structure, roles, and skillsets required to ensure successful delivery of public sector outcomes
Desirable Qualifications:
• 2 years Demonstrated experience with data integration between clinical applications in the Canadian eHealth environment.
• 2 years Experience in contributing or developing application architecture standards and guidelines.
• 2 years Experience with Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR)
• 2 years Experience with written and verbal communications including specific experience in drafting strategic business and technical documentation.
