Responsibilities
• Develop and stamp engineering documents, work packages, and site designs.
• Provide technical support for maintenance, turnaround, and CAPEX project activities.
• Coordinate on feasibility studies, design improvement, and project implementation.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, and reliability teams to deliver safe and efficient plant performance.
• Provide advanced mechanical engineering expertise
• Implement changes in a safe and documented manner using proper Management of Change procedures.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility upon hire.
• 5–10 years of experience in facility Operations, Maintenance, or Engineering.
• Working knowledge of industry codes (ASME B31.1/31.3, ASME BPVC Section I/VIII, API, NACE, CSA, TSBC).
• Familiarity with project management processes (PMP designation an asset, not required).
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.
• Good background and knowledge of industrial scale chemical processing equipment.
• Strong and demonstrated adherence to health and safety policies and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to develop and implement innovative engineered solutions.
• Ability to work with multiple departments to meet company goals.
