Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory: Provide expert knowledge on Information/Data Management methodologies and trends to manage enterprise information assets holistically.
Governance Development: Advise on and create robust data governance models and business processes to manage data throughout its entire lifecycle.
Policy & Standards: Draft and organize policy instruments, including standards, guidelines, and procedures that ensure data products are computationally governable.
Stakeholder Consultation: Partner with developers, data architects, and business analysts to define data rules for capture, transformation, and integration.
Data Modeling & Classification: Contribute to the development of metadata schemas, taxonomies, and classification schemes to ensure data is consistent and interoperable.
Lifecycle Management: Provide guidance on data privacy, security, and retention practices to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
Initiative Leadership: Lead and coordinate information management projects, including conducting business analyses and developing business cases for new data initiatives.
Training & Awareness: Assess organizational training needs and develop curricula to promote information management principles across diverse audiences.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in information management with a heavy focus on data governance and lifecycle principles.
Framework Expertise: Demonstrated ability applying recognized frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK and national/international EIM standards.
Technical Literacy: Proven experience in metadata management, developing ontologies, taxonomies, and canonical data models.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to conduct policy research, track performance measures, and perform complex business requirements analysis.
Communication: Exceptional writing skills for drafting technical and non-technical policy instruments, along with strong presentation skills for executive-level audiences.
Collaboration: Proven track record of managing relationships between business clients and I&IT organizations.
