Responsibilities
Information Governance & Lifecycle Strategy: Establish and enforce information management best practices, records retention schedules, disposition rules, and governance frameworks across structured and unstructured data repositories.
Information Architecture & Taxonomy Design: Develop business and records classification schemes using functional classification, taxonomies, metadata models, and controlled vocabularies.
Digitization & Repository Modernization: Oversee and support the digitization, migration, cleanup, and modernization of legacy physical and digital records into Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions.
Document Management Protocols: Author comprehensive document management guidelines, naming conventions, version control protocols, business rules, and labeling standards.
Compliance, Privacy & Security: Assess information security and privacy requirements, evaluate data protection risks, and support the development of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) in compliance with privacy and accessibility regulations.
Needs Assessment & Business Analysis: Conduct business analyses and information inventories to identify records management gaps, assess maturity, and establish organizational information management priorities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Training: Facilitate workshops and interviews with subject matter experts, author guidance materials, and deliver information governance training programs across technical and non-technical teams.
Qualifications
Information Architecture & Taxonomy: Demonstrated expertise in information architecture, metadata management, taxonomy development, classification structures, and content management practices (Strictly Required).
Digitization & Legacy Migration: Proven experience supporting the digitization, migration, cleanup, and modernization of legacy records, documents, and repositories (Strictly Required).
Information Lifecycle & Governance: Deep knowledge of information lifecycle management, records retention, disposition practices, and information governance frameworks (Strictly Required).
Framework Development: Hands-on experience developing functional classification schemes, metadata models, naming conventions, and document management protocols (Strictly Required).
Privacy & Compliance Alignment: Practical knowledge of privacy impact assessments (PIAs), information security classification, and accessibility standards (e.g., AODA).
Enterprise Content Management (ECM): Demonstrated experience working with enterprise content management, electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS), or case management platforms.
