Responsibilities
- Technical Advisory: Provide expert advice to management on the technical impacts of proposed enhancements across infrastructure, networks, and databases.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all environments comply with ISO 27001 and Privacy guidelines; manage regular patch maintenance and security policies.
- Network Administration: Build and support Check Point FireWall-1/VPN-1, Cisco routing/switching (physical and virtual), and Citrix NetScaler environments.
- Expert Troubleshooting: Lead root cause analysis for complex issues involving Microsoft Active Directory, VMware ESXi, EMC SAN, and Citrix XenApp.
- Systems Monitoring: Utilize tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, and Hyperic to ensure high availability and proactive incident response.
- Service Management: Oversee Change, Incident, and Problem Management processes, including the creation of change impact assessments and run books.
- Operational Readiness: Support disaster recovery planning, regular system backups, and provide after-hours implementation support as required.
Qualifications
- Core Infrastructure: 10+ years of experience building and maintaining network and security infrastructure.
- Security Mastery: Hands-on experience with McAfee security solutions (AV, HIPS, NIPS) and Geofencing technologies.
- Virtualization & Cloud: Deep proficiency with VMware products (vSphere, ESXi) and experience working with external hosting providers.
- Systems Expertise: Expert knowledge of Windows Server environments and Cisco VOIP solution components.
- Process Excellence: 2+ years of experience with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change) and Project Management accountabilities.
- Leadership: Proven ability to mentor system, network, and database administrators while managing vendor relationships.
