Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy to decompose legacy monolithic systems into modular, scalable, and domain-specific services.
- Create and maintain enterprise-wide technology roadmaps and strategic evolution plans for digital connectivity and service delivery.
- Lead technical evaluations to determine the viability of in-house development versus outsourcing specific services to third-party providers.
- Establish architecture methods and frameworks, lead architecture review boards, and mentor engineering teams through complex system designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure technical roadmaps align perfectly with business objectives.
- Define standard messaging interfaces and service protocols to ensure seamless integration across distributed systems.
- Drive the delivery of large-scale software projects, ensuring they meet strategic targets and technical standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Ontario home-based service or related public sector domain.
- 10+ years of experience in large-scale software solution architecture.
- TOGAF Certification is mandatory.
- University degree in Computer Science or a related equivalent field.
- Proven experience working within public sector environments, adhering to enterprise standards and gating processes.
- Extensive experience with distributed systems, microservices decomposition, and integrating complex software ecosystems.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of influencing stakeholders and leading multi-team initiatives.
