The ideal talent will have strong communication skills, the ability to partner with inter-departmental leaders and have the ability to think independently and with a high attention to detail. Someone with an automation mindset and experience with automation tools preferred.
This is a very encompassing role and is ideal for someone who wants something robust, who has the ability to understand the full cycle accounting (technical aspects), interpret standards and has an analytical mindset.
Experience with IFRS15 (revenue recognition) preferred.

Responsibilities
- Prepare month end results
- Maintenance of financial processes and controls, including review and approval of journal entries and reconciliations
- Financial Reporting (consolidated)
- Engage with pricing teams on new initiatives to understand pricing strategy and financial results implications
- Reivew and analyze financial results to drive value-add decision making
- Support various internal and external reporting
- Support audit process
- Lead a team of 2 Managers
Qualifications
- Bechelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Commerce
- CPA designation, an asset
- Minimum 5+ years of work experience (preferably at a large public accounting firm) or in a
Controller/similar role
- Strong IFRS technical accounting background with specific experience with IFRS 15 (revenue recognition is a big part of this)
- Superior interpersonal skills and proven ability to influence and engage key stakeholders.
- Highly organized, with the ability to independently plan and execute on multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP (BI/FI) would be an asset.
