As a Senior Maximo Functional Analyst, you will bridge the gap between operational business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical configuration teams. Operating within a hybrid work model in Toronto, you will lead requirements workshops, conduct gap analyses, author functional specifications, and guide the functional design of IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8.x/9.x). This position demands a technical solution authority with extensive experience across Maximo Asset Management, Work Orders, Inventory, Procurement, and Asset Condition Management (ACM) who can drive business process optimization, validate data migration, and ensure configuration decisions align with operational objectives.

Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate functional requirements workshops, discovery sessions, and design walkthroughs with subject matter experts and operational stakeholders.
Elicit, analyze, document, and validate detailed functional requirements for MAS Manage and related enterprise modules.
Conduct current-state process analysis, establish future-state EAM process maps, and perform gap analyses against native MAS capabilities.
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, configuration design documents, and traceability matrices to direct technical engineering teams.
Collaborate closely with technical consultants and configurators to ensure system configurations align with core business intent.
Support the functional design and implementation of Asset Condition Management (ACM), condition monitoring, meter groups, and condition-based maintenance (CBM) strategies.
Guide functional data migration planning, including data field mapping, validation rules, reconciliation, and data quality assurance.
Develop comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and test scripts to support functional, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and system integration testing.
Track, triage, and manage functional defects, collaborating with technical leads to ensure swift resolution.
Contribute to user training planning, author end-user documentation, and provide functional support during cutover, go-live, and hypercare phases.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Functional Expertise
Maximo Functional Tenure: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Maximo functional analyst working with IBM Maximo 7.6.1+, including direct experience delivering MAS 8.x/9.x implementations.
EAM Process Mastery: Strong functional understanding of core Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) processes, including Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance, Assets, Locations, Inventory, and Procurement.
Requirements & Design Documentation: Proven ability to facilitate stakeholder workshops, author functional design specifications, write use cases, and maintain traceability matrices.
MAS Configuration Concepts: In-depth knowledge of MAS configuration concepts (applications, domains, workflows, escalations, security groups) sufficient to inform and validate architecture decisions.
Data Migration & QA: Experience supporting functional data mapping, migration validation, test script execution, defect tracking, and UAT execution.
Preferred Assets & Specialized Domain Knowledge
Asset Condition Management (ACM): Hands-on experience with Asset Condition Management, meter groups, condition monitoring, or predictive maintenance strategies is considered a strong asset.
Public Sector Context: Prior experience supporting large public sector or public transit organizations is an asset.
Soft Skills & Delivery Attributes
Stakeholder Facilitation: Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills with a proven ability to lead workshops and articulate complex technical capabilities clearly to non-technical business users.
