As a principal solution architect, you will bridge the gap between complex enterprise data platforms and interactive self-serve analytics solutions. Operating within a hybrid work model, you will lead the design and modeling of semantic layers, configure deployment pipelines, manage data schemas using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services, and execute report migrations from legacy analytics platforms. This position demands a certified analytics authority who can transform complex financial, HR, and operational datasets into actionable, high-impact business insights while adhering to established project management standards.

Responsibilities

Architect and build datasets utilizing Microsoft Fabric tools, Power BI, Azure Synapse, and SQL Server database services.
Configure, administer, and optimize environment deployments, managing security roles and implementing automated deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps.
Lead report and dashboard migration initiatives transitioning legacy MicroStrategy environments to modern analytics architectures.
Drive self-serve analytics, dashboards, and reporting streams across enterprise functional domains, including Finance, Payroll, HR, and Work Management platforms.
Partner with Business Analysts and cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and architecture blueprints.
Support end users through technical assistance, tool training, semantic layer optimization, and query performance tuning.
Author comprehensive technical documentation according to established PMO standards, provide accurate work effort estimates, and perform analytical problem solving.
Qualifications
Core Requirements & Mandatory Criteria
Education: University degree in Computer Science, or equivalent, combined with directly related professional experience in a business or technical discipline.
BI Development Tenure: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working as a Business Intelligence Developer/Architect.
Mandatory Certification: Active Microsoft Fabric Certification (PL-600, PL-700, or equivalent).
Power BI & Cloud Data Depth: Extensive hands-on experience developing enterprise BI solutions, semantic layers, schemas, and dashboards using Power BI coupled with Azure Synapse and database services.
Platform Administration & DevOps: Direct experience configuring and administering analytics environments, managing deployment pipelines, and working with Azure DevOps.
Relational Database & Data Modeling: Solid experience working with SQL Server (2019 or later) and a strong understanding of data modeling techniques for interfacing BI platforms with data warehouse solutions.
Preferred Assets & Technical Capabilities
MicroStrategy Experience: Active MicroStrategy Professional Certification and hands-on experience developing schemas, data cubes, and reports in MicroStrategy (2020 or later) is considered a strong asset.
