Responsibilities
- Platform Modernization: Lead large-scale upgrade initiatives, overseeing technical execution across RHEL 7, IBM MQ, and containerized integration bus components.
- Technical Execution: Perform system preparation, configuration, optimization, and validation across all environments (Dev, QA, PST, PPE, and Production).
- Security & Compliance: Manage PKI infrastructure, digital certificates, TLS/mTLS configurations, and encryption standards to ensure secure system-to-system communication.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Provide expert-level Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex middleware and infrastructure challenges, ensuring message durability and persistence.
- Operational Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed build books, runbooks, and operational guides to facilitate seamless knowledge transfer.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including UNIX, Network, Security, and QA, to ensure upgrades are executed with minimal service disruption.
- Testing Support: Support QA activities by preparing environments, resolving defects, and validating readiness for high-pressure production deployments.
Qualifications
- Middleware Mastery: 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in middleware engineering and integration services, with a proven track record of leading complex platform upgrades.
- Core Tech Stack: Deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), IBM MQ, IBM Integration Bus, IBM DataPower, and rsyslog processes.
- Containerization: Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot microservices in containerized environments.
- Mission-Critical Experience: 5+ years supporting large-scale environments, preferably in highly regulated sectors like healthcare or public service.
- Networking & Infrastructure: Solid understanding of IP networking, routing, firewalls, and Windows/Linux server administration.
- Messaging Standards: Familiarity with integration standards such as HL7 (v2, v3, FHIR) or SOAP-based messaging is a significant advantage.
- ITIL Proficiency: Strong adherence to ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
