As a principal middleware authority, you will bridge the gap between complex on-premises systems, hybrid cloud infrastructure, and modern Azure integration suites. Operating within a hybrid work model, you will support and optimize BizTalk Server integrations across enterprise platforms (including SAP, SuccessFactors, and Maximo), architect Azure Logic Apps workflows, engineer automated CI/CD pipelines, and enforce strict security, performance, and monitoring baselines. Responsibilities
Support, maintain, and optimize BizTalk Server orchestrations, pipelines, maps, schemas, and adapters across enterprise platforms.
Design, build, test, deploy, and support Azure Logic Apps (Standard and Consumption) workflows and cloud integration services.
Migrate legacy BizTalk integration workflows to modern Azure Integration Services, Azure Logic Apps, and API-driven architectures.
Monitor integration health, performance, message tracking, error-handling mechanisms, and retry logic across hybrid environments.
Develop complex data transformations utilizing XML, XSLT, JSON, and Liquid templates.
Configure enterprise adapters and connectivity components, including WCF-SAP, WCF-Custom, REST, SFTP, API Management, gateways, and hybrid connections.
Build, modernize, and maintain custom C#, .NET, and SQL Server stored procedures and supporting integration components.
Maintain version control branching strategies in Git and build automated CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps using Bicep templates and YAML configurations.
Implement cloud security controls, including OAuth2, SSL certificates, Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, and role-based access controls (RBAC).
Support Systems Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performance testing, root-cause troubleshooting, defect triage, and non-functional requirement validation.
Partner with cross-functional teams, Enterprise Architecture, QA leads, and vendors to resolve integration bottlenecks and ensure governance compliance.
Create and update technical design artifacts, interface inventories, mapping specifications, deployment plans, and knowledge-transfer documentation.
Qualifications
Core Technical & Middleware Experience
Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Enterprise Integration Tenure: 10+ years of enterprise systems integration experience utilizing .NET, C#, Web API, XML, XSLT, JSON, SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedures.
BizTalk Server Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with BizTalk Server (including BizTalk 2020), orchestrations, pipelines, maps, schemas, adapters, and cloud migration strategies.
Protocol & Connectivity Depth: Deep experience working with WCF-Custom, WCF-SAP, SFTP, REST, BAPIs, IDocs, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
Azure Logic Apps Depth: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience building, testing, and deploying Azure Logic Apps.
Azure Cloud Services: Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
DevOps & CI/CD Pipelines: Proficiency with Git version control (branching, PR reviews) and constructing automated CI/CD deployment pipelines in Azure DevOps.
