Responsibilities
- Support accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across Canada and the United States.
- Handle new employee setups, terminations, and the preparation of final pay and ROEs.
- Manage EHT and WCB remittances, including claims management for multiple companies.
- Ensure the accuracy of time sheets, payroll records, and the employee database.
- Perform vacation accruals and benefit reconciliations within the payroll system.
- Post Canadian and US payroll journal entries and monthly accruals into the ERP system.
- Coordinate remittances and postings for retirement savings plans, including RRSP and 401K.
Generate reports from payroll and time management systems to support the Finance team
Qualifications
- Proven track record in a Payroll Administrator capacity, demonstrating the ability to handle deadline-driven environments
- Working knowledge of Payworks (CA), Paychex, and Gusto (US).
- Familiarity with Syspro accounting software and benefit systems like Manulife or Sun Life.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with multi-entity structures.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and superior communication skills.
