Responsibilities
- Recommend and implement suitable strategies for communication, procurement, resourcing, and implementation. Identify benefits and develop business plans to secure organizational funding.
- Coordinate cross-project activities and manage external project dependencies. Develop and control master milestones, budgets, and schedules for multiple strategic projects.
- Monitor program performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Act as the primary liaison between project teams and senior executive management to resolve high-level scope issues.
- Lead the development of critical program documents, including RFx, Vendor Contracts, Statements of Work (SoW), and MOUs.
- Analyze the organizational environment to prioritize risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Lead actions to overcome resistance to change and capitalize on support for transformation.
- Supervise and coach a multidisciplinary team, including other Project Managers, fostering an environment of high performance and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in Program Leadership or Senior Project Management, managing large-scale IT projects of significant complexity and value.
- Proven track record across all stages of application development projects, from initiation through to closing and transition to operations.
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineering (P.Eng) or ITIL certifications are considered strong assets.
- Expert knowledge of project management tools for planning and implementation (experience with enterprise project management software is a definite asset).
- Experience in Matrix environments; familiarity with Agile is a plus.
