Responsibilities
The coordination and completion of IT projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project. Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
• 8 years’ experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• 8 years’ experience developing project deliverables including project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs and project closures.
• 8 years’ experience managing custom application development projects with at least 5 team members.
• 8 years’ experience managing data and AI development, delivery and support projects/teams with at least 5 team members.
• 8 years’ experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
• 8 years’ experience successfully implementing IT solutions in an environment with project resources from across multiple teams or organizations.
• 8 years’ experience working as a Project Manager on a large complex custom software application development project (where the software is developed in house for that specific organization) in an environment of similar size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
Desired Qualifications:
• 4 years’ experience conducting, facilitating and interpreting impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios.
• 4 years’ experience creating and managing project forecast and actual budgets.
• 7 years’ experience developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships across the organization, including executive level.
• 2 years’ experience making decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues without formal guidelines or precedents and exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity
• 3 years’ experience working in or for the public sector.
• 4 years’ experience working with Mandated and Legislated Projects within short timelines.
• 5 years’ experience leading project governance, change management and communication activities.
• 4 years’ experience working with technical teams on complex IMT projects.
