Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans for SAP BDC implementation, including multi-level WBS, resource allocation, Gantt charts, and critical path analysis.
- Modernization Oversight: Lead the handover of Business Warehouse Modernization projects to operations, ensuring post-implementation support and stability.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with project sponsors, business process owners, and OCM consultants to align objectives, gather requirements, and manage expectations.
- Vendor & Resource Leadership: Coordinate with SAP and third-party systems integrators; build and manage multi-disciplinary teams consisting of internal staff and external consultants.
- Financial & Risk Governance: Administer project budgets, negotiate contracts, and maintain rigorous risk and issue logs with documented mitigation plans.
- Technical Integration: Manage projects involving cloud services (SAP BTP, AWS, Azure) and integration technologies specific to SAP environments.
- Reporting: Create and maintain SMT progress reports and executive-level documentation using tools like MS Project and ServiceNow (SNOW).
Qualifications
- Core Experience: Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience managing end-to-end IT projects, specifically large-scale SAP BI/Data Warehousing or ERP implementations.
- SAP Expertise: Deep knowledge of legacy SAP BW systems and the new features of SAP BDC, including SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, and BW Bridge.
- Cloud Proficiency: Experience managing deployments on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) or major hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Technical Depth: Familiarity with ETL processes, data modeling, and data migration techniques tailored for SAP landscapes.
- Project Methodology: Extensive experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative methods; PMP, Prince2, or SAP Certified Project Manager designation is a strong asset.
- Professional Skills: Superior negotiation skills to handle conflicting priorities among stakeholders and the ability to translate complex technical trends into business-friendly insights.
