Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage the full project lifecycle (requirements, design, implementation, and release) for complex IT work packages in a technical healthcare setting.
- Strategic Planning: Integrate multiple related project plans into a cohesive delivery program, turning high-level concepts into actionable milestones.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor delivery teams comprising internal staff, consultants, and vendors across various geographic locations, including coaching junior Project Managers.
- Financial & Risk Management: Provide accurate financial forecasting, track actual costs against budgets, and proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish strong working relationships with Executives, Sponsors, and Ministry partners, providing transparent and concise progress reports.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all deliverables adhere to healthcare policies, privacy standards (HL7/FHIR), security principles, and project management methodologies.
- Change Control: Manage IT Requests for Change (RFCs) and Project Change Requests (PCRs) to maintain integrity across various environments.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of project management experience delivering large-scale, complex IT solutions, specifically within the healthcare sector.
- Methodology: Expert knowledge of Project Management and Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), utilizing both Waterfall and Agile (Scrum/SAFe) frameworks.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of clinical workflows, business processes, and integration standards (HL7, FHIR) is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability in conflict resolution and high-stakes negotiation.
- Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence.
- Public Sector: Previous experience working with the Ministry of Health or large-scale public health organizations is essential.
