Responsibilities
- End-to-End PM Leadership: Develop project charters and master plans, defining goals and scope for technically complex enterprise technologies.
- AV/VC Specialist Oversight: Guide the deployment of state-of-the-art audio-visual systems, including GUI design review, functional drawing finalization, and hardware validation.
- Infrastructure Coordination: Validate facility Scope of Work and construction completion, ensuring site readiness for IP circuits, bandwidth, and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Procurement & Vendor Management: Negotiate and acquire goods and services; manage external service providers, contractors, and local trades to ensure delivery on time and budget.
- Quality Assurance: Develop test plans based on specific use cases and oversee on-site system installation and functionality testing.
- Change Management: Apply principles to facilitate business process changes and manage the human factors associated with technological transitions.
- Executive Advisory: Provide specialized advice for business cases and Treasury Board/Management Board of Cabinet submissions.
Qualifications
- Project Management Expertise: 10+ years of experience managing large-scale, multi-platform I&IT projects across all phases (Concept to Close-out).
- Technical Domain Knowledge: At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Audio-Visual and Videoconferencing technologies (hardware and software).
- Converged Communications: Deep understanding of current trends in VoIP, mobile, data, and building telecommunications infrastructure.
- Procurement Mastery: Proven ability to coordinate I&IT procurement and administer complex contractual agreements.
- Security & Availability: Knowledge of IT security requirements for hosting solutions with high sensitivity and confidentiality ratings.
- Software & Frameworks: Familiarity with multi-tier software architecture, cloud technologies, and computer protocols specific to Justice Sector programs.
- Public Sector Context: (Asset) Previous experience with the Ontario Public Sector (OPS) or the Justice Sector.
