Responsibilities
- Manage and track large-scale projects, including schedules, multi-faceted risks, and high-priority deliverables.
- Develop and present high-quality executive status briefings, dashboards, and briefing notes for senior management and oversight committees.
- Manage the end-to-end monthly governance cycle, including the development of materials and the maintenance of terms of reference.
- Develop detailed content for complex network implementation, transition, and migration strategies with cross-stream dependencies.
- Proactively identify and communicate risks, perform options analysis, and research mitigation strategies to ensure effective project delivery.
- Support project financial management and integrate vendor commitments into overall reporting to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Establish trust and maintain strong relationships with vendors, business partners, and peer groups across various organizations.
- Provide direction and encouragement to project teams, coordinating activities across multiple in-flight projects.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a senior leadership or director-level role managing large-scale, multi-year technology projects within a government or broader public sector environment.
- 4+ years of experience in a senior management position accountable for the delivery of large-scale public safety radio or telecommunications infrastructure.
- Direct technical knowledge and business leadership experience regarding the policies and use of telecommunications systems in a public safety environment.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical information into concise executive presentations and briefing notes with a focus on political acuity.
- Proven experience applying all project phases (concept, definition, planning, implementation, and closeout) to high-value, high-risk projects.
- High proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Visio (for process flows), and PowerBI for establishing and monitoring KPIs.
- Demonstrated ability to develop multi-year strategies and operational plans while managing demanding workloads with senior officials.
