Responsibilities
Reporting Assessment: Participate in needs assessments to understand the design and functionality of current operational reports and define migration strategies.
Solution Design & Development: Perform design and development activities to migrate reports to Power BI Desktop or Report Builder in alignment with AODA and WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards.
Data Modeling: Design, build, and deploy data models optimized for business intelligence, analytics, and third-party system integrations.
Advanced Programming: Utilize DAX and T-SQL/PL-SQL to implement complex logic, financial data reconciliation, and automated reporting features.
Troubleshooting: Perform technical root-cause analysis and apply corrective actions to resolve issues in reports and dashboards discovered during pre-release testing.
Prototyping: Conduct research and develop functional prototypes to help stakeholders visualize future business intelligence capabilities.
Knowledge Transfer: Document all technology designs, scripts, and PBIX specifications; conduct KT sessions for project managers and internal team members.
Qualifications
Power BI Mastery: 2+ years of demonstrated experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder.
Database Expertise: 4+ years of experience writing and optimizing SQL query languages (T-SQL, PL-SQL).
DAX Programming: 2+ years of experience writing DAX code and implementing complex measures/functionalities within BI objects.
Analytical Skills: Proven ability to resolve data quality issues, perform report validation, and troubleshoot complex database queries.
Technical Stack: Experience with ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and Microsoft SSDT.
Domain Knowledge: Experience with financial data reporting and data reconciliation is a significant asset.
Soft Skills: Excellent consultative and facilitation skills; ability to explain technical tasks to non-technical stakeholders and contribute to a team-based Agile environment.
