Responsibilities
•Lead Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) and Threat and Risk Assessment (TRA) activities
•Assess system security posture and provide guidance to project teams
•Develop key deliverables (SARs, MAPs, ATO letters)
•Evaluate security controls and supporting evidence against Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat and Communications Security Establishment frameworks
•Create and tailor Security Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs)
•Review and contribute to IT security policies and Risk Management Framework updates
•Provide technical writing support for security documentation
•Support knowledge transfer and provide regular progress reporting
Qualifications
•Active Top Secret security clearance (Government of Canada)
•Extensive experience with SA&A (C&A) and TRA in federal environments
•Strong knowledge of Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat policies and Communications Security Establishment guidance (e.g., ITSG-33)
•Proven experience assessing on-premise and cloud-based systems, including classified environments
•Hands-on experience developing SARs, MAPs, ATOs, and SRTMs
•Strong understanding of Risk Management Frameworks (RMF) and security control evaluation
•Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
•Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and collaborate with technical and security teams
