Responsibilities
• Integrate human-centered design methods into large-scale program reviews and digital transformation projects.
• Conduct user and behavioral field research to identify pain points and opportunities for service improvement.
• Facilitate co-design workshops with stakeholders and front-line staff to develop innovative service solutions.
• Develop service blueprints, journey maps, and process maps to depict the end-to-end user experience.
• Create and test service prototypes to validate concepts and gather feedback before full-scale implementation.
• Analyze user and employee experiences across multiple channels including web, mobile, and face-to-face interactions.
• Partner with program teams to design new processes and policies that support effective organizational change management.
Qualifications
• A minimum of 2 years of experience specialized in service design research and the creation of design outputs.
• Proven experience working for at least 2 years within cross-functional product teams in an Agile environment.
• At least 2 years of direct experience working on digital transformation initiatives specifically within the Government of Alberta.
• Strong background in planning and conducting qualitative field research and usability testing for prototype systems.
• Submission of a personal portfolio of work samples with brief annotations explaining your design process and outcomes.
