Assignment Type: Onsite (5 days per week)
Contract Duration: 6-month contract (with potential for extension)
Advantages
Modern Lakehouse Stack: Direct hands-on engineering across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, OneLake, and PySpark.
Next-Gen BI Architecture: Build high-speed Direct Lake semantic models in Power BI querying directly against Silver/Gold layers.
Full-Lifecycle Data Engineering: Own data pipelines end-to-end, from complex ingestion to dimensional modeling and reporting.
Enterprise CI/CD Automation: Deploy robust data products and automated pipeline release workflows using Azure DevOps.
Responsibilities
Analyze complex source data structures and design robust dimensional data models, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to transform raw data into curated Silver and Gold layers within lakehouse environments.
Design and orchestrate complex data ingestion pipelines utilizing Data Factory within Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory.
Design, implement, and optimize efficient Direct Lake semantic models in Power BI to enable rapid, real-time reporting directly from OneLake.
Design, build, test, and deploy interactive Power BI reports, operational dashboards, and paginated reports that satisfy performance and accuracy KPIs.
Translate business and reporting requirements into detailed technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and data transformation logic.
Develop, compile, test, and maintain optimized PySpark scripts and data access queries for high-throughput analytical workloads.
Partner with business analysts and reporting teams to refine data visualizations, OLAP solutions, and self-service analytics frameworks.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical bottlenecks, pipeline execution failures, data discrepancy issues, and performance regressions.
Automate continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for data assets, scripts, and reporting solutions using Azure DevOps.
Support data governance best practices, including row-level and column-level security implementations, data access controls, and data lineage tracking.
