Responsibilities
- Design and implement responsive user interfaces using modern frameworks, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and optimized performance.
- Lead application architecture and integration efforts, creating detailed technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and programming specifications.
- Integrate secure authentication flows, specifically OpenID Connect (OIDC) with PKCE, to protect sensitive data and user access.
- Develop digital products that comply with WCAG 2.x AA, AODA, and WAI-ARIA standards across Web, iOS, and Android platforms.
- Conduct unit testing, manage QA/UAT feedback loops, and ensure all components meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis during unanticipated outages and provide expert debugging and technical support for migrations and conversions.
- Elicit requirements from multidisciplinary staff and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with program needs and privacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, and frameworks such as React, Backbone, and Stencil.js (Web Components).
- Deep expertise in integrating with REST (JSON, XML) APIs and working with Social Media APIs.
- Proven experience implementing OIDC with Proof Key for Code Exchange (PKCE) in Single Page Applications.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on application architecture, risk assessments, and technical modeling.
- Expert-level knowledge of accessibility features and optimization for digital products (WCAG/AODA).
- Strong background in root cause analysis, troubleshooting complex large-scale systems, and performance tuning.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
