Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end development activities—including software design, coding, unit testing, integration, and defect resolution—across application and database components.
Design and build user-friendly web interfaces and server-side components using modern front-end frameworks (Angular, Node.js) and Java back-end stacks (Spring Boot, J2EE, RESTful Web Services).
Develop data migration scripts, PL/SQL queries, and shell routines to migrate source data, clean data stores, and optimize interactions with relational database systems.
Work with legacy application architectures (including Oracle Forms/Reports, Struts, and EJB) to maintain, troubleshoot, and modernize systems.
Create and package deployment releases across testing, staging, and production environments using DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
Conduct code and design reviews, identify performance or availability bottlenecks, and perform vulnerability assessments to strengthen application security.
Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and quality assurance teams to ensure application code strictly aligns with functional specifications and digital accessibility standards (AODA).
Author detailed technical design documentation, deployment procedures, and system guides to ensure operational supportability and seamless transition.
Qualifications
Senior Development Experience: 15+ years of overall experience in software programming, systems analysis, and application development (Strictly Required).
Full-Stack Engineering Seniority: 10+ years of dedicated hands-on experience designing, developing, and implementing complex web applications and backend services (Strictly Required).
Core Java & Framework Expertise: Proven expertise with Java, J2EE, EJB, Struts, Spring Boot, Web Services, XML, Angular, and Node.js (Strictly Required).
Database & Scripting Seniority: Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle databases, PL/SQL development, complex SQL queries, and Shell scripting (Strictly Required).
Legacy Systems & Middleware: Strong familiarity with IBM WebSphere, web application deployment, and extracting unusable data/logic from Oracle Forms/Reports environments (Strictly Required).
