As a senior software developer, you will bridge the gap between responsive front-end applications, robust Java back-end services, distributed microservices, and enterprise relational database systems. Operating fully onsite in Toronto within an Agile delivery framework, you will lead full-lifecycle software engineering using Java, RESTful Web Services, PL/SQL, and relational databases. This position is tailored for a technical software authority who applies clean code practices, object-oriented design patterns, and secure communication protocols to deliver high-performance, maintainable software.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical software defects, performance bottlenecks, and system migration issues.
Conduct code walkthroughs and technical reviews to ensure adherence to software design patterns, clean code practices, and accessibility standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional project teams, including architects, business analysts, and QA leads, to align technical deliverables with business goals.
Author comprehensive technical runbooks, API documentation, deployment runbooks, and system support guides.
Qualifications
Core Technical & Software Engineering Requirements
Application Engineering Tenure: Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-client web applications.
Java & Database Mastery: Minimum 10+ years of hands-on Java development experience integrated with Oracle or SQL databases.
REST APIs & Microservices: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs, RESTful Web Services, and microservice architectures.
Design Patterns & Clean Code: Expert knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, code refactoring, and clean code principles.
DevOps & Security Protocols: Practical experience using Azure DevOps alongside knowledge of security protocols (JWT, OAuth2.0, SSL Certificates).
Agile SDLC: Strong practical experience delivering software within structured Agile delivery frameworks.
Preferred Technical Assets
