Responsibilities
- Lead the design, testing, and installation of new BI systems, ensuring seamless integration between existing platforms and new cloud/on-premise services.
- Act as the primary subject matter expert and technical advisor for all aspects of BI deliverables, providing expert assistance to various technology teams.
- Develop and manage end-to-end solutions using Power BI, Cognos, SSIS, and SQL-based reporting tools.
- Design and maintain semantic models, dimensional models, and data warehouse architectures optimized for advanced analytics.
- Oversee ETL processes (SSIS, Informatica) and automate release pipelines (CI/CD) using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions to ensure smooth production deployments.
- Work with stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, determine project scope, and provide objective advice on I&IT requirements.
- Manage deployment activities in coordination with Infrastructure and Operations teams, including the creation of comprehensive "Release Books."
- Ensure rigorous documentation and formal knowledge transfer to designated internal staff through walkthroughs and version-controlled repositories.
Qualifications
- 10+ years as a Solution Designer/Developer with a heavy focus on the Microsoft BI Suite (Power BI, MS SQL, SSIS).
- Extensive experience with both Power BI Service (Cloud) and Power BI Server (On-Prem), including administration and row-level security.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development, data migration, and daily job handling.
- Proficient in MS SQL Server, Oracle, Visual Studio, .NET Framework, and version control tools (GIT).
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies, as well as change management principles.
- Proven ability in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and consensus-building to resolve complex business pain points.
