Responsibilities
- Strategic QA Leadership: Plan, organize, and implement comprehensive testing efforts for large-scale, multi-tier systems.
- Technical Advisory: Act as the subject matter expert on IT infrastructure and business process enablement; provide strategic guidance on Information Management and IT technology.
- Multi-Tier Testing: Execute and oversee functional, non-functional, and systems-level integration tests for web-based, online, batch, and client-server systems.
- Agile Integration: Drive testing within an Agile/Scrum framework, utilizing User Stories, Continuous Integration (CI), and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- UAT Coordination: Work directly with business stakeholders to facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing activities, including data setup for training and implementation.
- Accessibility Excellence: Lead end-to-end digital accessibility testing (manual and automated) in compliance with AODA and WCAG 2.0/2.1 (Level A and AA).
- DevOps & Automation: Utilize Jira and Azure DevOps for defect tracking and lifecycle management; code automated test scripts to ensure robust regression coverage.
- Systems Operations: Manage user access and profiles, oversee backup and recovery procedures, and support day-to-day computer system operations during the implementation phase.
Qualifications
- Senior Testing Expertise: 10+ years of experience planning and organizing testing for large systems in both GUI and non-GUI environments.
- Framework Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and specialized techniques for testing web services.
- Tooling Mastery: Demonstrated hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and Jira.
- Accessibility Standards: Expert knowledge of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and WCAG 2.0/2.1 standards.
- Business Analysis: Strong skills in requirements gathering, static testing, and conducting test plan walkthroughs.
- Technical Breadth: Experience with WebSphere, e-Forms, JDBC, and Business Objects Enterprise is considered a significant asset.
- Communication: Proven ability to prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for senior management, including options analysis and implementation plans.
