Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning: Define and implement the branch-wide Quality Assurance strategy, establishing common processes and tools to be leveraged across multiple teams.
Testing Leadership: Oversee all phases of testing—including functional, regression, and performance—for highly scalable, multi-tier enterprise web applications.
Automation Migration: Drive the transition to the latest testing tools to enable full automation across all test suites.
IAM & Security Testing: Execute extensive testing involving Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, specifically Microsoft Entra ID and Oracle IAM.
Technical Oversight: Lead QA activities for Business Intelligence (BI) solutions such as Power BI and Cognos, ensuring data accuracy and reporting integrity.
Compliance: Provide testing solutions that comply with GO-ITS standards and lead AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) testing using software like JAWS and Compliance Sheriff.
Release Management: Coordinate distinct testing cycles for multiple concurrent applications, managing resource allocation and meeting strict release deadlines.
Mentorship: Provide technical leadership, training, and mentorship to junior staff and diverse project teams.
Qualifications
Experience: 10+ years in manual and automated testing methodologies, with at least 5 years in a Test Lead capacity.
Technical Stack: Experience testing applications built on the full Microsoft .NET stack (ASP.NET, MVC, C#, Entity Framework), Oracle, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
Automation Tools: Demonstrated expertise with Quick Test Pro (QTP), UFT, and HP Quality Center.
BI & Data Skills: Strong technical proficiency in SQL, XML, and testing reports generated via Crystal Reports, Power BI, or Cognos.
Identity Management: Specialized knowledge in testing Microsoft Entra ID and Oracle IAM solutions.
Accessibility: Proven experience in AODA testing and regression efforts using specialized accessibility toolkits.
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to lead technical discussions among stakeholders in a matrix environment.
