Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist

Our client is looking for a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist for a 5 month contract in Toronto.

This is a hybrid role.

From October 20, 2025, the candidate is required to work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day from home
From January 5, 2026, the candidate is required to work onsite 5 days a week fully



Responsibilities
• Will be working on back-end integration, web service, and API testing.

• Plan, document and execute both manual and automated API test cases for:
- connectivity/regression testing specific to the rollout of the new API gateway platform for the Ontario Business Registry

- application, regression/functional testing specific to new OBR ReST-based web services



Qualifications
Must Haves:

• Testing experience with SOAP/ReST-based APIs using third-party tools such as ReadyAPI, SoapUI and Postman
• Hands-on testing experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server, Oracle, structured SQL-based query languages, and IBM API Connect platform.
• Testing experience (functional and non-functional) of SOAP-based and ReST-based transactional web services in an n-tier Java EE server environment, ideally in the context of occupational and/or business registry systems

Nice to have:

• Experience with Java Development - focus on Front-end Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
