Responsibilities
The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist will be responsible for:
- Providing expert advice and leadership on the overall testing strategy, test plans, resource identification, and the selection of appropriate testing tools.
- Planning and organizing testing efforts for large GUI and non-GUI systems, including the development and execution of test plans, test scripts, and test cases against various system components.
- Leading the execution of system integration tests, specialized tests (e.g., load, performance, stress), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Conducting AODA Compliance Audits and Remediation using specialized tools like AXE and WAVE.
- Ensuring testing practices align with Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps methodologies and demonstrate a working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Identifying, triaging, and supporting the resolution of problems and issues, working closely with project and IT leads.
- Creating test data for various testing phases and maintaining comprehensive documentation using test management tools like Azure DevOps or Microfocus ALM.
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in process, planning, organizing, and implementing complex testing efforts.
- Extensive experience and proficiency with Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
- Extensive experience with Cloud technology (Microsoft Azure).
- Extensive experience with AODA Compliance Audit tools, including AXE and WAVE, and experience in AODA remediation.
- Extensive experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps and/or Microfocus ALM 12.5.
- Experience creating, reviewing, and executing test strategy, test plans, and test cases.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and strong communication skills.
Desirable Skills (Assets):
- Experience with Siebel (RLSO - Registration Licencing System of Ontario), ESDI, and other client applications.
- Knowledge of Licensing and Control System (LCS) and Legacy Mainframe Systems.
- Experience with Payment Gateway (MPG/EPS Services), ReadyAPI, WEB Services, API, OPA, and Java Technologies.
- Experience with mainframe tools (TSO/SPF) and databases (IMS/DB2/SQL/Oracle, and UNIX).
- Knowledge of testing methods in an object-oriented environment and experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf Applications (COTS).
