Responsibilities
The Senior QA Specialist will be responsible for the following key activities:
- Leading the development of the overall test strategy, and preparing detailed test cases, test scenarios, and regression test suites required to verify the solution.
- Developing and maintaining automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JMeter, Python, or Java. Executing both manual and automated test scripts and preparing comprehensive test reports.
- Reconciling, managing, recording, and tracking system or functional defects, break/fixes, and change requests using collaborative tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Planning, facilitating, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions and providing guidance to business users throughout the process.
- Preparing test data sets that mimic real-world scenarios and using SQL queries to extract relevant data and validate backend logic.
- Identifying potential quality issues, analyzing complex systems to understand component interaction, and escalating issues to management.
- Working closely with the Project Manager, developers, and QA teams, leading triage sessions, ensuring appropriate defect prioritization, and providing clear status updates to all project participants.
- Developing, documenting, and maintaining test artifacts, including test plans, test scripts, test data, and data validation reports.
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience:
- 8+ years of demonstrated QA experience, including experience leading QA teams and managing defects/change requests using collaborative tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Experience on Automation testing script creation and execution using Selenium, JMeter, Python, or Java.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proven ability to write effective, reusable test cases and test scenarios.
- Ability to create and execute database queries (SQL) to validate data and test backend logic.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; with the conceptual skills to see the big picture and integrate QA/testing standards.
Desired Skills (Assets):
- Expert ability to use Azure DevOps or Jira to track test suites and bugs.
- Experience in performance API testing.
- Proven ability to analyze and break down complex systems, quickly identify root causes, and propose solutions.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing and leading initial UAT sessions.
