Responsibilities
The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist will be responsible for:
- Leading the development of the overall test strategy, and preparing detailed test cases, scenarios, test scripts, and regression test suites.
- Managing all test activities, including stress/load testing. Developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Selenium, JMeter, Python, or Java. Supervising the execution of manual test cases and reporting test results.
- Reconciling, managing, recording, and tracking defects (system/functional, break/fixes) and change requests using a collaborative tool. Leading triage sessions and working with developers and client leads to prioritize, schedule, and remediate defects.
- Planning, facilitating, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and providing guidance to business users. Identifying potential quality issues and escalating them to management.
- Reviewing functional and design specifications, identifying test requirements, and designing the test coverage plan. Preparing test data sets that mimic real-world scenarios and using database queries (SQL) to extract and validate data.
- Developing and maintaining all test artifacts (test plans, test cases, test scripts, data validation). Ensuring clear and concise communication with the Project Manager and developers regarding application quality and alignment with project timelines.
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience:
- 8+ years of demonstrated QA experience, including experience leading QA teams and using a collaborative tool to track and communicate defects and change requests.
- Experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience on Automation testing script creation and execution using Selenium, JMeter, Python, or Java.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; organizational, creativity, and perseverance skills; and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Conceptual skills to see the big picture and assist in integrating QA/testing processes and standards.
Desired Skills (Assets):
- Expert ability to use Azure DevOps or Jira to track test suites and bugs.
- Experience in performing API performance testing and using SQL queries to validate data.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and break down complex systems, quickly identify root causes, and propose solutions.
- Experience with User Acceptance Testing and leading initial UAT sessions.
