Responsibilities
The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist will be responsible for:
- Test Strategy & Planning (QA Experience): Providing advice on the testing strategy, test plans, and resource requirements. Creating detailed Test Strategy/Test Plan documents. Aligning test cases and plans to business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Agile & Requirements Management: Working within DevOps/Agile/Scrum Methodology projects. Experienced in requirements gathering, development, and analyzing Business Requirement Documents (BRD) to create test data requirements.
- Defect Management Leadership: Possessing solid experience with triaging defects, participating and leading triage meetings, and producing defect summary reports. Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Test Case Development: Extensive experience writing, creating, and executing test cases and test scenarios in Azure DevOps for various testing types, including functional, system integration, black box, and UAT testing.
- Automation Testing & Regression: 5+ years developing automation test scripts with multiple Tools. Extensive experience performing regression testing manually and using automation scripts. Experience generating test data through DB queries/DB model analysis.
- Accessibility (AODA) & Technical Support:
- Experience with Screen Readers, Syntax Checking tools, and Colour-Contract tools.
- Ability to provide coding, system, and architecture recommendations to ensure application is Accessible.
- Experience with HTML 5, WAI-ARIA tags, and providing coding recommendation for Accessibility remediation (Java, Angular JS).
- Specialized Testing: Experience performing Load Test, penetration testing, and security testing.
Qualifications
Must-Have Experience:
- Solid experience with triaging defects, participating and leading triage meetings, and producing defect summary reports.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test case creation tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Extensive experience writing test cases, plans and aligning them to requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with requirements gathering and development in agile projects.
- 5+ years developing automation test scripts with multiple Tools and performing extensive regression testing.
- Experience with Screen Readers, Syntax Checking tools, Colour-Contract tools for accessibility testing.
